What you should know about the Programming Language

A programming language is an artificial language that can be used to control the behavior of a machine, particularly a computer. Programming languages are used to facilitate communication about the task of organizing and manipulating information, and to express algorithms precisely.

FACT.pilot is based on SAP R/3 and therefore also uses the programming language of SAP: ABAB 4, the abbreviation for “Allgemeiner Berichtsaufbereitungsprozessor“, the German meaning of "generic report preparation processor". ABAP has especially been designed for the mass administration of commercial applications.

All development work is being done on the “ABAP Workbench” which allows working several hundred of developers at the same time, if necessary.

The software is an open source, i.e. each ABAP programmer is able to read, to understand and to change the code (if he has the authorization).

This means that no development resource problems regarding will arise for you.
