The System Architecture - Overall Organization Units

FACT.pilot is multi-tenant. But what does this mean for you?

A tenant in this context is a terminus technicus and is the administration unit within FACT.pilot. Multi-tenancy refers to the process of hosting multiple customers on a single server, i.e. it enables you to maintain and to duplicate business modules of factors and factoring customers.

The hierarchy of the FACT.pilot-system in general is as follows: Tenant – Company - Factopring Customer.

  • Tenant

A tenant can be, for instance, a mother company or a group of factors.

Each client can be configured separately from the others, i.e. all rules, defaults and processes can be maintained independently from the other clients. This does also apply for country and language versions, charts of accounts, currencies, purchase parameters, credit insurance contracts, limit handlings etc.

  • Company

A company can be a country division, but also a business area of your factoring company. You make the decision regarding the structure in accordance to your needs – no matter if you administrate the system according to your organisation structure or according to consolidation aspects.

  • Factoring Customer

Each factoring customer is represented by an individual balancing unit. This enables you to consider individual requests of your customer as well as to consider your own interests (e.g. a separated risk monitoring for a special customer) deviating from the rules and defaults which are set on tenant level.

In addition, an individual consolidation of company codes (factoring customers) is also possible by this system structure.

The master data of each debtor (e.g. address and correspondence language) will be entered only once on tenant level and completed by company code-specific data (e.g. external customer numbers and payment terms). This enables you to identify each debtor – even if a debtor should belong to several factoring customers.
